I've been doing some digging and pestering folks in order to help soothe my OCD tendencies...  I've gotten record weights for just about everyone now. The one I am missing is Becky Shifflett's C/Alcohol record set at Hamilton, OH 6/23/2002 when she ran 12.34 @ 105.94 MPH in her 68 Dart. Is anyone still in contact with her by any chance? |

Seymour and I actually tried to stop and see her and husband on our way through Ohio in June. They were on a vacation, so even though we stopped at their shop we missed them. Seymour has their number and he did speak with them later that day. Looks like they still have the car... Lou |

Finally getting the records posted up here with the extra nudge from Rob to help me actually get it done.  I did not submit the records from Wilkesboro to Seymour, only the records from Mason Dixon 2019 for the official record books. The Mason Dixon records were the fastest ever for the car. 1/8 mile: 96.84 MPH 1/8 ET: 6.9197 1/4 Mile: 117.65 1/4 ET: 11.008 Here is a picture of the official record history for A/G class. YXWgQY3eMI Also, there was an error on Rusty Heisten’s B/G record too it is actually 11.1237 instead of 11.237. Seymour caught that error and I just updated the spreadsheet with that correction too. So with this update, the targets for 2020 have been set and we all know what our goals are to break records this coming season. Let’s keep making these Slant 6’s even faster! |

Looks like the 1/8 mile speed record was set at Mason-Dixon and not Wilkesboro. |

Ryan fixed that. He also updated the spreadsheet that has a couple more of Charlie’s nitrous records from 2002. There is a new column to the far right in the newest version called Estimated HP. That is a calculation taken from the Wallace Race Calculators website. It offers an interesting comparison. Your mileage may vary...

Cool stuff.. estimated hp does not take into account things like wind speed/ direction or denisty altitude. Cool to play with the numbers though! Greg |

Congratulations to Jeff Kendall for setting a new 1/8 mile record at Knoxville! I got to personally see and race against his car at Knoxville and it is such a cool slant 6 ride! I’m excited to see just how fast he can get it to go! 1/8 mile, class AA/G ET is 6.982 MPH is 98.314. His car weighed 1,609#. Thanks Ryan! Jeff ran 11.15 at Clay City and plans to send those time slips to Seymour to re-set Fopar’s 1/4 mile AA/Gas record as well. Cool SDRA dragster with some very nice work! |
