I got sentenced to 2 more weeks in the moon boot, then maybe I go to physical therapy.

Trying to be a good boy I actually asked the doctor about going racing. That went about like you'd expect.

Could be worse... Good that you are seeing the doc and getting feedback. Maybe you will be able to race with a foot brace by the time the tracks open, or at least toward the end of the season? Sounds like you are still fabbing stuff while in the boot, which is great.

Lou

Yes, you do not want to re-tear that thing! I raced two weeks after my back surgery in 2013, but I had to get special permission. No,not from the Dr. He didn't scare me. The wife, now that was another issue!! :D :D

Get well soon!!

I start physical therapy Monday morning. If I survive that I get 2 weeks of it then back to work I go.

The Big Bucks race is rescheduled to 4th of July weekend.

Ran yesterday, working today and tomorrow.

I double entered and ran Box and No Box, had the same result in both. Big red eye in the first round. It was miserably hot, and I am not good when it's hot. Car ran decent. Dialed 8:44 and ran :45 in Box and :437 in No Box, so it was all on me.

182 cars total. Teresa went with. We stopped for ice cream on the way home. It was a good day.

You been watching old videos of me!!! :D :D
Glad you got to run. I hate summer too! That is why I'm not at the drag strip today. 95+

I hear ya Rick. To make matters worse I got out of work at 1:45 Friday morning, got the truck loaded up and in bed at 3:30. Got up at 6:30 to drive to Kankakee and get Teresa, then on to Milford to pick up the car and trailer. Had breakfast with Patrick and another friend of his, then got to the track at 11:30. Fortunately for me, they were running behind and I got 2 time runs. Was .023 first hit and then lost it from there. First red in Box was ugly. One in No Box was at least close. .012, but still ugly.

Car did very well. Even with the tiny radiator it never got above 200 on the return road. Best part is it went on the trailer under it's own power.

The nice thing about coming home from 41 is Buddy's Drive In in Beecher. Place has been there for years, and still has great food.

Thanks Lou and drgonzo.

yeah I remember Buddy's from little league days, sometimes the coaches would take us there after a game when we played against Beecher, in their home field.
this would have been late 70s up til about 1981ish. I grew up in Monee, which is ~12-ish miles NW of Beecher as the crow flies. I mostly played "left out" unless there was a blowout...…

It was good to get out Rob. I was definitely in with the sharks. Most of the cars were 6:50 or quicker. I saw 1 dialed slower than me, and it was 8:47.

Don, I always got stuck in right field. :?

41 posted today that they are having twin $10,000 races the 19th and 20th of September. I'm off that weekend and already have my name on the list.
