I have a PTC in my car and am very happy with it.
I have a Coan in my Duster that I had built. Also happy.
I used Midwest for years in the red car. Also happy.

Another thing you can do, keep an eye out for guys who race in Stock Eliminator. They try a lot of different converters and sometimes sell off old ones they didn't like cheap. I have an 8" 5000 stall TCI that I bought from a friend for $350. I haven't used it yet, but it will end up in my car sooner or later.

I have been using Edge for many years. I personally have the feeling that there are many good converter builders out there. But there are not many that will have better customer service. The first Edge I bought, I was in a bind, and they bailed me out. Ordered on a Monday, with small pilot, and large splines, was in my hands on Wednesday (Calf to Fl). Had a issue with fit, and Andre told me to do whatever it would take to make it work. About three months later, took it out, and sent it back, so they could fix it right. They paid shippng both ways, and made the proper repair. at no charge, and gave me a extended warrenty. That counts for a lot.
