So my car is /will be 3000lb and super charged with nitrous on pump gas tall 225

I think my class will be C/U

I’m sure each track has some different tech rules but in a station wagon nitrous bottle in rear and inclosed battery box in back

Hoping for 12’s 1/4mile
Will I need fire suit , full face helmet ??
Thanks
Track in question let’s go with mason Dixon

C/U looks right.

Rick Covalt can better answer about the M-D inspection.

Others will chime in about firewalls and battery boxes.

And others will have opinions about open face helmets and fire suits...

IMHO: in an enclosed car with stock firewall you should not need a closed face helmet or fire suit.

Running nitrous may potentially add those requirements though. Is the bottle in the back or in the passenger compartment?

You should really get the currant rule book for NHRA, and look at the safety requirements. Most sanctioned tracks go by that for safety requirements. Some tracks are lax about them. However it is no fun, to be running at a local track, and then drive a couple hundred mile, to another track, and get nailed in tech.
I have been to several tracks, that don't even look at the cars, and also been to a track that complaines about not having two clamps/tie wraps on the radiator overflow hose.
With Nitrous, you are supposed to ware a fire jacket, at a minimum.
Nitrous bottle can be in the car, but needs a "blowdown tube" vented to the outside. Fuel and batteries need a firewall separating them from the driver compartment.
NHRA approved battery box MIGHT be accepted without a firewall. Not sure on that

Where it will get sticky is supercharger+nitrous. Each one adds different things to the needed safety gear. When I was spraying I had to have a fire extinguisher on board, and just a basic long sleeve jacket.

I think you are underestimating how that thing will run. Just a blower or nitrous ought to grt 3000# into the 12's.

Its not bad to have all that safety equipment anyway.

Full helmet, fire jacket extinguisher... when you bracket race against an 8 sec car, that 8 sec car will be blowing past you at 160 mph or so.. if something went wrong to that fast car it could hurdle across into your slow car.

Not something fun to think about but weird and odd stuff happens.

I got my 66 Cuda into the 12's (12.905 at 101.85 mph). 3250 lbs with a 170 on nitrous. :)
