There were no changes to the offical SSRN Rules Related to any of the categories this year. "1st Round Call Outs" were brought up and discussed - majority decided to keep the rules as they are and proclaimed call outs / grudge races / ca$h days can be executed during time trials, Test N Tune or or by entering other classes and Not During the 1st Round pairings of a Slant 6 Bracket Race. "Clarification of Record Setting Procedure for 1/8 Mile"(No official rules or Record Setting Procedure Changed) - Racer is racing at an SSRN event that has 1/4 and 1/8 Mile Races. - Racer Makes a record setting pass in 1/8 Mile. - Racer needs to make a back up run within 1% for the record to be official. - Back up run is executed in a class / time trial where the track is running 1/8 Mile. - If the track management etc will not flip the timing system back to 1/8 Mile time slips for the Slant 6 racers for the back up run attempt, then it still will be allowed (assuming again this is an 1/8th mile class). - The Racer making The (backup) Record Run(s) needs to inform the race coordinator of the Back up run intention for record setting purposes, and would be entered into the 1/8 Mile test n tune or other 1/8 Mile class at said event or weekend. - This is not the same as allowing an 1/8 split for record setting purposes. - This is to allow the Racer to set 1/8 Mile records when the track will not cooperate to print an 1/8 Mile time slip for that Racer. - It is the Racer's responsibility to keep the race coordinator informed if there is an issue with the track only offering 1/4 mile time slips for 1/8 mile runs. Rick, Rob, Please double check to make sure I presented this all properly. Rob, Feel free to edit this post If I have something incorrect up there.↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑ Greg |
