I have an A904 automatic slant six, column shift, 1967 dart. Recently, when I'm in reverse it'll kick out of R and into N. It seems to be when I turn the steering wheel while backing up. Is this something in the steering column or perhaps the shift linkage at the tranny?

I'll figure it out, but I was just wondering what first impressions are here, if anyone has seen this - usually your guys' intuition and experience is spot on and saves us time!

Brian

I would assume its the column to transmission adjustment.

Its easy to adjust and fix. Perhaps the service manual has the procedure.

Possibly broken motor/transmission mount.

Good call. Could be one of those too!

Thanks guys, its not a broken mount, so OK the obvious is most likely, I'll check it out, thank you.
