I need some help.....I was trying to figure out if a four speed automatic transmission off a 1969 Dodge dart with a slant six work on my 1973 Dodge D100 with a three speed manual transmission on the column? Any help is appreciated

The '69 Dart will most likely have the A904 which is a 3-speed automatic. There were no slants equipped with 4-speed automatics. The A904 will bolt right up to your '73 D100 assuming it's also a 225 naturally.

When I swapped an automatic into my '74 D100 I got a steering column from an automatic equipped truck along with all the linkages. You absolutely must have the transmission throttle pressure linkage in place and functioning or you will burn up the transmission. The throttle pressure linkage from the Dart should work fine.

If your D100 has a 1-piece driveshaft you will need to have a longer one made. My D100 was a Club Cab, had a 2-piece drive shaft and the short tailshaft 3-speed so I had to have my drive shaft shortened.
