The problem, i have found with the B&T kits, is the boots are so old they are dry rotted. I put a kit in my Cuda 2 yrs ago, and the first pass down the track the boot disintegrated. I have since converted to a standard u-joint & slip spline. Precision U joints still list a kit for these joints, but I don't rember the part number. Trysix soupitup@msn.com |

I've been told, but never installed one over mine yet, that the V/W Beetle Swing Axle Boot will install over it our A-body Ball & Trunion. May have even been on this site. It is a split boot not requiring dis-assembly. One day I'll get around to dropping $20 for one and giving it a try. If you try this, let me know how it works out. chewy (Las Vegas Dart) |

Go to Andy Bernbaum's site and get a new boot kit that hasn't been sitting on the shelf for decades. Their part number is Q-102. It says it fits '60-'62 Valiant-Lancer, which is true. It also correctly fits '63-'65 Valiant-Barracuda-Dart. Or just be done with the ancient, probably-worn-out, expensive-to-rebuild ball/trunnion front joint and do the conversion instead. |
