Has anyone dealt with HR Clutch near Philadelphia PA ?
http://www.hrclutch.com/vintage-dodge-t ... tches.html

My '61 D100 needs a clutch. I'd thought about using some modern transmission but I just want to get it done ASAP.

I never have , I wonder if Phil or Dan have?

I don't know anyone else in philly.

I used falcon Clutch to Rebuild an old McLeod Clutch disk and Surface the McLeod Press. Plate. I asked them to use the same springs and frictions which they did what I wanted instead of selling me some off the shelf parts. That particular was a mix of parts from Sam Powell's old t-5 Install.
I have not used the parts yet, But service was good.. complete with a new york accent on the phone!

That 10 spline unit was used through the early 60's and is a tough match to get a replacement with...if someone offers the service they are doing
the hobby a real favor...FYI.

I think Dodge used a 10 spline 1-inch input shaft through 1968. Then, they used a 23-spline shaft and the input shaft length changed. The early NP435 clutches can be spendy.

That's great Valley Clutch is still in business. I used them in 2001 when I was setting up the T5 swap on the 64 Dart. My friend Pete and I just walked up to the window on a sunny SoCal day and picked out all the clutch parts needed (PP for /6 crank, disc and TOB for T5). They let me open up boxes and measure things so I could see it would all fit. High quality stuff, at least at that time.

Vintage Power Wagons has clutch disk's available. I have just been doing some looking around to find out what is available. I believe they want $95 for an 11" 10 spline clutch, with something like a $ 50 core deposit. It may be an option if you do not want to wait on a rebuild, although I can't imagine a rebuild would take to much time.

Ive also read somewhere that some farm equipment used a 1 inch 10 spline disk. Have not explored that aspect yet, but will be looking in that direction just for the fun of it.

I recall HR clutch being suggested over on the Sweptline forum, when someone was looking for clutch parts. I have not yet had to deal with finding a new clutch for the present build.

Thanks for the reference to Vintage Power Wagons. I've been at their location before years ago. They used to have NOS parts.

I also have a NP435 from a D500 dump truck. Its got a larger diameter 10 spline shaft, I think its 1-3/8-inch diameter.

Yes I visited them 20+ years ago, and they had crates and crates of stuff, all NOS and or Military supply chain stuff.. I almost think the business has changed, or changed hands sense then. I prefer to buy my Dodge truck stuff locally If I can.

Keep us posted on what path you take, as I will be following your footsteps maybe by the end of the summer.

KY Clutch has the best price by quite a bit. But mine is 10-inch and I wanted 11-inch and I
don't have a 11 inch core. http://kyclutch.com/

Thanks,

A seller on Ebay has the 11-inch disk for $80 + shipping, its the P/P that's a bit spendy.

A local salvage yard has a 77 Dodge 11" PP listed for $25, is Car-Part an option To get something locally to send to KYClutch?

Would something like that work on an earlier flywheel?

Kentucky Clutch responded that they could build an 11-inch clutch for like $50 more.

I think car-parts.com would be a good source for used parts, but the old stuff can be hard to find.
