Yeah, I saw those ARP studs, but I'll be dammed if I'm going to pay more for 10 studs, then the complete brake job, including drums. $12 each. Time to get out the drill, and use Mopar studs. Remember, I'm "frugal" (cheap) |

My '73 Swinger had a 8-inch when I got it. I think the Toyota 8-inch is good too, some have the 5 x 4.5 inch(114.3 mm) pattern - some have six bolt "chevy" truck pattern - or Nissan truck etc, but I believe axle shops can make new shafts as the Toyota rear ends are popular for off-roading. I think the 2WD Toyota trucks use the 5 lug wheels, the 6 lugs are 4WD |

Never had a problem with it, in over 400,000 miles, and towing my racecar. 5 speed stick. Have been on the scale at just under 5 tons total. |

There's 2 versions of the Toyota 8" axle. A 4 pinion (aka V6 and turbo 4) and 2 pinion (aka 4 cyl). Not sure if the 1 ton axle is a 2 or 4 pinion. Most of the 2wd toyota's were 7.5" |

Apparently Toyota trucks with a VIN starting with JTX where X = "G" has an 8-inch. "JTF" would be 7.5-inch. |
