Got the pump out, and got my answer to how bad it is. Looks like it's confined to the pump gear.

Yep, I'm relieved it wasn't anything more.

I might throw a Trans-Go kit in there while I'm working on the transmission.

Check the neck on the converter really close. Mine had a really hard to see hairline crack coming out of one of the cutouts.
