It's only problematic for ignition if you don't do your research and don't get the bugs worked out.

It makes way more Sense to control the Ignition and fuel if you can. Lots more non linear flexibility and tunability vs Carb and distributor. The hyperpak intake will respond well to EFI, I have a Carb on my Hyperpak for nostalgia purposes.

Ignition power is really not a big deal unless boosting substantially. The kicker is getting timing curves down and avoiding crossfiring or misfiring due to noise in the system or rotors/etc out of phase with the ign trigger.

Spark quality makes sense (in my application) where the fuel is 85% ethanol. It matters more when the weather is below freezing point and the fuel is still mostly ethanol. Spark can not easily be overpowered. I have had one exception for that. A russian car called Moskovitz was generating troubles with non-russian spark plugs. At that condition the spark easily runaway to ground before plug gap!

Thanks for all the input guys! Much appreciated. I starting to gain confidence...
Another question. Am I better off going with the latest MS3? I have and older MS2 3.75 that as gifted to me.

There is likely better support for MS3 and more tunability/flexibility. Greg might give you a direct opinion on that. I decided to skip MS2 myself, but I do not have MS3 running yet.

It's pretty easy to upgrade an MS2 to an MS3 by swapping the daughter card. The main benefits are sequential injection (along with individual cylinder tuning) and more I/O.

Yes, thank you Matt! And thanks for the Fuel injection book!
This what I have. http://www.megamanual.com/357/intro.htm
The MS3 daughter card will plug into it? If yes I will order.
I sometimes have the skill of overlooking the obvious...

Cheers,
Barnaby

Correct - you'd also need the taller MS3 case, and the MS3X expansion board if you are using the MS3's extra I/O and not just the extra settings.
