Purchased a voltage regulator from RockAuto. This is for the single field alternator...I have one on both my 72 and my 64. This has been the nicest functioning solid state VR that I have used for direct replacement of the old mechanical type.

It works well: WVE 1V1067

Other than my first hand experience with this one product, I know nothing of this company, nor its reputation. So, take my N=1 endorsement for what it is worth.

WVE is Wells Vehicle Electronics

Not sure about their current quality, a decade back it was found that EI pickups, vacuum advance pods, etc were made at one source someplace
and then repackaged under other brands SMP, Wells/Airtex, etc... FYI.
