msd 6al, anyone have any experience with running over 12psi with no issues, if so what was the problem and cure? i change my chrysler gold box setup for a 6al analog box. seems fine up to 12psi but having trouble with the engine losing power up to 15psi. not sure if i have another issue creeping in here!

How wide are your plugs gapped? I used to run mine at .025" when I was spraying. 6al box.

.025", first time dealing with msd ignition, had video camera inside the car, i was getting 16psi, some are saying 12psi is the max with 6al box?? had 2 runs that car went dead flat and lost 4 to 6 mph on that run. no signs of plugs going lean or detonation . maybe the higher boost level is too much and un-usable for my setup ???

I thought msd would be far superior compared to the chrysler gold box, in saying that i never ever tried the gold box with the 10% over drive pulley, only 1 to 1 pulley , only issue with gold box was it needed 12v, if i threw the alt belt the car would lay down. i did have a run a few year ago when i started running methanol injection and forgot to turn on activation switch and the car lay down, similar to what is happening now but that time i hurt a piston. i had a camera inside the car and watching it, seem 1st and 2nd shifts to 6000rpm no problem, 3rd normal drop to 5000rpm then seem to struggle to make 5300rpm, normal is 5500rpm over the line! maybe the extra boost is hurting my performance, taking to much HP to spin the blower to make that much boost ?? all guessing at this point have too get inside and make sure everything is alright and take it from there!

just going through the in car videos, on the two runs that lost 6mph, the on light for the methanol injection was not on, so system was off! now i am wondering if on the other runs is the injection enough for that high a boost level ?? the light was on for other runs, must be a loose connection. checked on devils own site i need 8.7 jet size for 16 psi, i am running 6 jet size , which is good for 12psi! hope i haven`t cooked the pistons and rings!
