I am looking to get a decent clamp on meter for measuring DC current. Just for occasional use. Many of them look to only measure AC current. I was looking at the Fluke 362 possibly, but would appreciate your input.

It should be easier to measure AC current with a clamp-type meter than DC. Fluke is sorta the standard of the industry for scientific and engineering measurements. You get what you pay for. I suppose there might be better ones out there, but my first place to look for reliable measurements would be Fluke.

I looked at the 362 manual and am surprised the accuracy/precision specs are as good for DC as for AC. Nice. Looks like a great unit to me. It appears the 365 is the same but with thinner and detachable jaws for smaller spaces. More expensive, but likely more versatile.

We use Flukes here at work. Most of what we do is 480 3 phase and we rarely kill a meter.
