Hey guys... turn signal cam failed in my 71 Dart and it began having other problems after I replaced just the cam, so I went ahead and ordered a replacement for the whole unit.

First one... faulty. As soon as I plugged it in, the hazard flasher would start clicking... it was flashing the tail lights with the switch in the off position. Everything worked otherwise. I found out if I twisted the switch a little it would stop but it wanted to twist back whereupon it would resume flashing the tail lights. Called the guy, he sent me another, no questions asked. Same thing, except on this one, the left blinker also has a problem - it stays on unless you jiggle the cam but gravity eventually causes it to come on again.

I'm getting pretty ticked... just want to drive my car. I am not good with electricity or wiring. Looks like every supplier sells the same POS from the same manufacturer. Anyone know where to get a different one? I have the 8-wire switch.

Here's the thing... it's real chintzy.

I noticed the 70-77 or whatever truck switch looks the same and has the same wire count and connector, but a different part number. This switch has more variety in manufacturers available and many of them look higher quality... I can even get NOS Mopar replacements from a few sources... anyone know if it interchanges? Part number is 3635505.

Hit up SlantSixDan. He may have a line on a quality switch.

I came up with a NOS one and it works fine, so the OER replacement switches were just straight up faulty - two in a row.
