My 72 Dart has led a very hard life. The dash is questionable at best.

What sort of aftermarket things have yall done with the dashboards of an A-body. I am open to tinkering on this.

I've removed a couple of dashboards, checked the gauge functions, replaced the bulbs with LEDs (making sure the polarity is correct), and painted the chromed plastic in black, and the silver with metallic silver. I polished the plastic lenses with toothpaste, and added a tachometer. I wasn't trying for a show car, so it looks OK, and everything works.

I went with a modern gauge replacement on my '64 Valiant. Pricy and lots of work, but I'm satisfied with the results.

Did you do the new gauges yourself? If so what kind were they. I think they look right at home. :D :D

They are from "New Vintage USA" and are made in Michigan. I shopped several gauge manufacturers and decided the NV faces looked the closest to the original '64 Valiant gauges.

I liked them so much that I am also using another set of a different series that looks era-appropriate for my '56 Plymouth project.
