Oh now that you mention ya 1 and 6 are way longer, You guys think getting the air to twirl like spiral into the port would help mix air/fuel better? I've got cool looking idea that i may start on.

i gotta fix an exhaust leak soon on my header and i'm debating whether to chrome it or ceramic coat it whats the pros and cons of either one or do they both hold up well?

I did chrome on mine for the hardness but would go ceramic if I had to do it again. The chrome does not (will not?) go on the inside of the pipes.

Maybe i'll shoot for ceramic then my clifford shorty's seemed to hold up well for a few years.
Oil leak problem still persists i'm thinking its the rear main seal because i can stand under the car on the lift and can see no oil from the rim of the oil pan but the funky part is the car will not leak oil while at idle on the lift but when i drive it around and park it and check under the car i've got some oil drippage.

Are you pressurizing the crank case?

Ceramic IIRC holds the heat in. Which is a ggod thing on a turbo motor!

Charrlie thinks i'm building pressure in crankcase too but i hooked my pvc back up and have 1 breather on the valve cover.

Is your breather plugged? How much boost and oil pressure?

Breather is brand new but i haven't physically checked if its not working, oil pressure like 40 to 55psi and boost is the lowest setting on the spring i think ive seen it up to 7 or 8 psi.

Maybe you need to break in the rings better, or you didn't set them up right and it is leaking past.

My 1st exwife's Isuzu truck had 324K on it. Pop the breather and it sounded like a muffler!!!

Don't know ill figure it out gotta try a couple things before i yank the motor. :(

So I was reading stuff on bg carbs now is the annular booster the only thing different from a 575cfm demon and a 650cfm? so if i changed to the 575boost i would have a 575cfm carb or would it not work like that? i'm kicking around ideas to be able to downsize on the jets and pick up some fuel economy? When i looked at an article of how to identify your demon the only difference i could not was the booster on the 575 and the 650 and i read somewhere you can change the boosters? does any of this make sense or would work?

Current jet sizes 85/95 Yikes! guzzle guzzle guzzle
Tryed 8inch vent tube extensions seemed to help i'm still getting a bit lean on slight throttle if i keep going longer makes me richer right? I was gonna try say 10 or 12 inch next oh and sending turbo back monday i believe it has developed shaft play for some reason and the turbine is scraping the housing looks to be a bit of a whobble, and it's getting oil right off the back of the pump so sounds like bad luck to me and have only floored the car a couple times.

From what I found. The base plates are different. You can get the 650 in the annular discharge also. They also say that the annular cuts back on the cfm but the Demon had more to begin with so who knows what it is without testing it. I have big jets in mine also!! I'm guessing but my vent tubes are around 8-10 inch long. Later

Ya I kinda wish i would have at least got the 575 bg when i was thinking about carbs months ago.

Soo i sent my turbo back to precision because it was making bearing noise and seemed to have alot of shaft play heard back from them today and they said debris got in the oil passage taking out the turbo and i should run filtered oil to the turbo. My oil line is off the back of the oil pump so i believe it is filtered oil, but the guy from precision said they will fix it for free this time. I'm starting to feel a bit skeptical of my ebay BOV as well i can't seem to see it actuate when reving the engine under the hood but when i'm driving when i shift it clearly makes the bov noise and i don't hear any compressor surge, the spring tension is on the loose setting per videos and instructions i've read.

BOV?

Post subject:

bov= blow off valve, when the pressure in the intake track reachs a certain psi ie when the throttle closes and intake air from the compressor side of the turbo start to build, which if un vented can create compressor surge, the bov opens and releases the pressure to atmosphere, preventing the back flow of air from smashing into the incoming air creating compressor surge which can destroy turbos........ which can shatter compressor wheels which can get sucked into the intake which can destroy a motor
