anyone have thoughts on any oem intercoolers? the volvo ones look pretty good they are large and im sure volvo wouldnt put them in there if they didnt flow. the late model dsm stuff is pretty good too. evolution 8-9 have really nice setups.

Conquest/Starion is good. Toyota is not very good. The Volvo is huge, but doesn't flow particularly well. A couple of Dodge Turbo II or Thunderbird intercooler cores with custom tanks would be good, but that involves fab work. The Chinese intercoolers all over ebay really aren't a bad deal and are usually easier to adapt than an OEM unit.

I agree with Joshua about 80's Turbo Dodge intercoolers. Even using one with custom end tanks would flow fairly decently. I had a friend with an 89 Daytona that custom made end tanks for the stock intercooler and it seemed to have made a world of difference.

Just my 2c though.

what size are you running 1974duster kev? did you run your setup without the intercooler at all? notice any difference?

I had my intercooler on since startup so I have to information on performance gains vs not having an intercooler.
I'd have to go measure it I believe it's either 2 1/4 or 2 1/2
