Thanks for the kind words, Junior.... I hope we're deserving of them...

We'll let you know. We also are shooting for low 13's to start out... with only 10 pounds of boost. Our junk weighs 2,670 with no driver...

Lots and lots of "if's"... lol!

We'll know, soon...

Good luck!!!

Bill. in Conway, Arkansas

It's nice to know how much weight you are lugging down the track. I used to have a '64 Valiant 2-door sedan V-100 (bare bones car) with just a radio and heater into which I had swapped a complete powertrain out of a '71 340 Dodge Demon. That Valiant of mine had no power anything, an aluminum bell housing, a 4-speed and no scatter-shield. I weighed it three different places, and it always weighed a little over 3,100 pounds with no driver. That's 450 pounds more than our /6 car, a 4-door.

Go figure...

Wow, why isn't the gauge adapter screwed into the T?

Where is it not 1/8" NPT? Wait, is that an inverted flare T? I would start over with a 3/8 to 1/8 NPT bushing instead of stacking two bushings, a 1/8 nipple, 1/8 pipe T, then the tube adapter for the gauge and a 1/8 NPT to inverted flare adapter on the branch. That's 5 total pieces instead of 7 and also shorter so it's less likely to break and leave you stranded. Better yet is Aeroquip FBM2277 threaded into the pump, the gauge fitting on the branch and an AN6 to AN4 adapter and an AN4 hose to the turbo. Three pieces, light and strong.

got my oil line finished. fired it up to find out why my carb was so cheap. the baseplate was warped and leaking badly. got that straightened out and flooded it soon after. before all that i ran it for a while with the carb bad. i like the turbo noises. sounds like its gonna spool pretty quick. in the short time i did run it, it got up to temperature and started steaming out of the radiator. fun fun. let it cool for a while and topped it off to watch it run out from under the water pump. one step forward 3-6 back. it is holding enough coolant to run it in the driveway but i dont wanna drive it like that so i gotta get a pump. all in all it was a pretty good day. i should be able to get some running video tomorrow w/ turbo noises if my phone picks them up.

still gotta get some exhaust on there. anyone know a good place to get some 3" flex pipe, like 10 foot of it. found it on rockauto for $27 but $120 shipping. not gonna do that.

Try a diesel truck shop. I'd bet that plenty of factory 3" systems get tossed in the scrap bin.

short update. got my water pump in, also put in a thermostat. hoses are all routed. its pretty much done. runs really well so far. havent driven it on the street yet but did move it around the drive way for a minute. spools pretty fast. waiting on some electric fans. im going to use the left over pipe from my intercooler to run my exhaust. well that is all for now. when i get the fans in ill take some video.

I would not recommend you using your aluminium intercooler piping for the turbo exhaust, it will probably melt from the heat of the turbo
