is there any advantage to running 100% methanol instead of a 50% mix? just wondering if timing or boost psi can be increased with 100% or will the absence of water defeat the purpose of water injection?

Terry,

I have found that it lowers inlet temps and can add octane (depending on what you are running for fuel). I have only run 100% based on the feedback of others from other sites. The one down side is it is flammable.

I run a 9GPH jet that fires at 5psi of boost. I run a Devil's Own kit. Less expensive but with the same results as a Snow Performance.

i am running 2 5gph nozzles 1 front 1 rear of the carb blower adaptor. with 91 octane gas. i was wondering about the 100% being flamable so i was going to replace the abs hose with -4 an stainless hose to be safe. i was running 12psi boost but i have a new head with no milling which lowered the comp ratio so i was going to try a smaller pulley for more boost. i`m not sure if i should try more timing? mybe high teens is the max, i`m not sure.

I'm running 22psi with 18 degrees of timing. I have run it for 1 gear bursts on 93 and straight meth with no detonation.

If memory serves i'm either using a 10gph or 14gph jet. cooling mist truck mount 1.5gal kit it comes on at 5psi I used to mix but now I run 100% meth and 93 octane pump gas. I was running 10psi of boost just turned it up to 14psi car still runs fine.

just got all lines replaced with -4an stainless, track doesn`t open until june. ran a best of 7.02et at 96mph with 14psi and 50/50 mix meth/window wash. hoping to run enough psi to get 6.90et and still let the engine live.

Btw I'm currently 100% Meth with a 14gph Devils own jet
Looks awesome!

I'm also locked at 18 degrees no detonation at 19psi

I have been using an AEM water/methanol inj system for 3-4 yrs. I use roughly 50/50 mix, usually just the -30F parts store windshield fluid.
