Post subject:  NEW Blower for Slantys from Torqstorm!

Hi fellas,
I don't get on here much, but that's about to change- ha. Spoke to Rick at Torqstorm today. They are going to release their blower unit/ kit for the slanty in about 90 days. Get in line kids!

I'm getting the grocery list together to do a "long rod" 225 build, custom piston made, etc. head worked, you know- basically getting out the wallet! The blower should add 50% states Rick with 8-9 # boost. We are hoping for some good #'s close to 475/500 total. Maybe I'm dreaming. Should be a fun build anyway- going into a '72 Duster.

Did he have a ballpark price on it? Will it be over $6K like the kit the Supercharger Store used to have?

What accessories and body styles will it work with?

I hit the site, and found a natural finish, driver's or passenger's side mount kit for small block Mopar priced at $2,800.
I would imagine the slant kit will be driver's side only, but the $2,800 price tag dosen't seem out of line to me.

Sounds good. I'll be interested to hear about your buildup and the kit. There are some folks who really want a bolt-on kit and don't care much about price, so it would be nice to serve them. Such folks usually drop in here and then leave quickly if there are no bolt on parts.

Interesting that you are in Sun Prairie, WI. I grew up in Madison and used to go to SP occasionally. I still get home to Madison to visit my folks a coupla times a year... Now I live in western VA.

All the best,

Lou

I dated a lady from Sun Prairie and we went into Madison quite a bit. Madison is very nice. :D

If they put out a decent kit around $3K, they should do well with it.

Lou- (and others ) :D I'm doing some research on engine parts and looking for some input here on the forum from some veterans. I'm so used to building 440's and 340's, but only have had one (pre-existing) hopped up Slanty with Clifford pieces & 4-bbl. I will start a new thread

Anyway, The Torq-Storm blower will be a bolt on unit, complete & most likely the same price as the other Mopar units. $2800. Rick is in the final stages on the CNC design of the bracket and says about 90 days. I get the 1st one- as promised! I'm planning on meeting him at the shop.

I'm also headed to the Chicago Mopar swap meet in 3 weeks & will have a booth- if anyone wants to stop and say hi !! Cheers, ~Ben

Post subject:  The new kit is done

We have completed the first dozen Slant 6 kits. We will have this on display at the Mopar Nationals. Swing by the TorqStorm booth. Chris

Are you in the general swap area or in the midway? Space number(s)?

Interesting. Any testing on a car yet? Approximate cost? Pics and tentative pricing?

Looking forward to learning more about this.
