Hello,
I am in the process of collecting components for my eventual turbo installation on my 225 . Now recently purchased a Holset hx35 which appears to be in good repair no shaft play, a usable unit. Good deal i hope.
My only concern is there is significant pitting on the hot side, although the seller disassembled and media blasted the hot end to reveal the extent of corrosion.
It looks and feels solid.
Any concern with this? I would guess this is the result of its installation location in its previous life.
Thanks for comments. One more component crossed of the list.
Russ

Is the pitting on the outside of the turbine housing? If so it's not a problem.

Hi,
Yes the corrosion is on the outside of housing ,and only on the lower portion.
Thankyou
