Dont see much talk about nitrous so I got a couple ?s
1 any body using a plate and using a 250 to 300 shot?
2 plenum volume do these intakes benefit from spacers?
Been a big block hot rodder driven many slants just never modified 1.
After hanging out with Ryan for a few years his slant sickness has spread.

Nitrous has fallen out of popularity with improvements in turbochargers and engine electronics. And there was the N2O shortage. It used to be that turbos cost quite a lot more and are often finicky when paired with carburetors, but most are using EFI with their turbo so that's no longer the case. You can read about SpaceFrank's problems when turbocharging a carbureted engine.

Plates often have distribution problems. If you use one mount it laterally. 250-300hp is a lot. You'll need to spend quite a bit on the short block for it to survive. 2 smaller stages is a better bet to keep the engine together.

I might go turbo but as of now I want to build nitrous engine I know the distribution issues that why I asked about spacers for more plenum volume for the ports to draw from .
I know a fogger would probably be best but if I run through a bunch of slants then I will just stuff a big block in it and I can run the same nitrous set up
And the nitrous would be on a progressive controller

The only person I know that gets close to putting that much nitrous through a Slant 6 is Charlie Schmid. He will likely chime in here.

I used a plate and never saw any distribution issues. I'd be leary of spraying a 250 shot simply because of the volume of spray going in. I know Mike had issues with cracking ghe head between the seats.

IF I were going to hose that much I think I would do it in 3 stages, or maybe ramp it on in percentage on a timer.

Spraying a slant is not like spraying a larger cube engine. Look at it as added HP/CI.
200 added horsepower on a 225 slant six is equivelant to about 390 added HP on a 440 CID. I have sprayed about 225 on a 170 with a fogger system. Stock pistons don't like that for very long. Normally sprayed about 175 HP on the 170.

Will not be using stock parts. New rods and pistons shave the head and deck for about 12:1 big tube headers and alot of head work

At 12:1 be very careful with plugs. Put a hole out and you will drive over the crank.

What fuel are you planning on using?

Seymour might find our way up there this summer in a Slant 6 A-body...

well it looks like a fogger system will be my best option. does anybody have any pics?
I was hoping to get 250 -300 hp na and spray from there.
