Adam just told me he and Joe are planning a thrash day this Saturday. I'm still here in KY for the time being, so hopefully I'll be able to join them. Fun!!

Angie and I stopped by the garage Saturday to distract Joe and Adam.

Adam was wiring horn, turn signals, etc so we can drive it on the street.

Joe was finishing up the engine install and putting the bigger drilled/slotted rotors on.

I distracted them from accomplishing their tasks and fiddled on other various unrelated things.

Thanks for the update, Rob. Glad you could all be there together and make some progress. Many thanks to Joe and Adam too. I feel pretty useless, but hope to become more useful to this team in the future.

Joe got the rear brakes and axle seals replaced today.

I installed a deep trans pan and good gasket. Hopefully that took care of the leak as well.

Progress.

Progress.

Still with the 7 1/4 and drum brakes, or did the upgrade get done?

Still the 7 1/4.

That trans gasket you gave us is the shizzle Charlie! Thanks!

I went over to the garage this evening and wandered around aimlessly for awhile.

I did do a little planning on how to make our cold air induction work.

Thanks, Rob! BTW, do we have an AFR gauge on there? If not, I'd like to get one in there for the upcoming race. I/we can do it the day/eve before too, so no biggie.

Cheers,
Lou

It does not yet have an AFR gauge. That would be an excellent tuning upgrade!

I didn't notice, but is the carb a 350 cfm, or a 500? If a 500 I'll hazard a guess it is rich over 3,000 rpm. Just curious, let me know what you find.

It’s that little 2 barrel what pretends to be a 4 barrel. 350-500.. 427…396…. I dunno… :?

500 2bbl. Still need to tune jetting with something more than seat of pants and how much smoke is coming out the tailpipe...
