I recently purchased a 1965 Valiant 200 model and am making a list of things that need to be done.
One is the trunk. The previous owner painted the entire trunk floor and the inner wheel tubs in John Deere yellow!
While I do own a John Deere lawn tractor, yellow is NOT a colour I want to see when I open the trunk of my car!
I have ordered the proper "trunk mat", kind of a vinyl material that just covers the floor. My question is, what colour would the inner well tubs be? Black, outside body colour???
Whatever colour that might be, would it be a flat, semi-gloss or high-gloss finish?

I believe the factory painted all trunks the same color/paint as the outside body. This is what I have seen in the several A-body Mopars I have owned, and many other 60s-70s Mopars over the decades.

Yup, it would've been painted body colour after the seam sealant was applied.
