Car Model: 1963 Plymouth valiant
I am replacing the old 1BB carb on 63 valiant. Can someone tell me how the throttle linkage is supposed to be disengaged from the carb? I don't want to break anything lol.

I have always pulled the bent metal rod out of the rubber/plastic bushing. I wonder if a little silicone lubricant (NOT WD40 or penetrating oil or motor oil) would help make this easier.
