Mid plate mount tabs are done, might add one more on pass side.
Cut section of tube has been boxed.

Crossmember welded and ready to go.

You have all the hard stuff figured out and it looks great.

It's 75 days until the Tulsa race. Take Sundays off and you still have 65 days to get the Colt ready. I think it can happen.

Go...Stan...Go!

Folks, let me introduce my crazy friend, Mark G.
He has a very infectious slanted attitude.
Everyone should have such a friend, I am blessed.

I put the car back together and took it to the Mini Mopar Nats in Rockwall Texas today.
The little car was well received and it looked good in the daylight.
I was fortunate to take 2 Place in Race Car.
Only one person called it a Datsun, but he turned red when I told him it was a Colt.
The slant was a hit, lots of complements on the unique engine.

Hello Slanters
Finished working on my Norton for this year. It's ready to start, but I am waiting till next spring. I don't want gas sitting over the colder months. Major tasks were new paint on tank and sidecovers, transmission reinstall, new wiring, exhaust system. real happy how it turned out.

Started back on the Colt yesterday! Yay!
I needed to realign the drivers door, it's a touch low and the quarter window is in to far at the bottom.
I removed the quarter interior panel and I found a Hurst QuarterStick installation document in the quarter.
It's dated 1990, wish it could talk.
I need some cats wisker material to fill the window to quarter panel.
Lots of air getting in there.
Maybe that is how the instructions got in there.
Dana out next for new rod end bearings and clevis on ladder bars.
Small leak somewhere, need to find and fix.
Also need to remove axles, figure out the disk brakes I need to purchase.

More to come.
