I’m back in Kentucky taking care of some things. I’m pulling any usable parts off the really rusty 61 Valiant V200 before I scrap the carcass.

There aren’t many good parts left, but if there is some little widget you need for your project, let me know quick.

I plan to haul it off probably tomorrow.

Rob, Is it a 4 door?

-If so I would Like all of the Stainless from the door Frames,I can tell you how to remove them properly if needed.
- Heater Box, and any Associated Valves / Heater Core - Don't need the Heater fan, But the Vacuum Motors would be nice too.
I probably need other stuff But Can't think of it now.
-Front Turn signal Lenses and Screws.

Thanks, Greg

Rob,
I could use 2 of those flat metal spacers that are under the window crank handles for my '60.
Thanks, Nick

It is a two door without the post. I forget if that is a hardtop or a coupe or a whatever…

I will pull the windows and mechanisms out. I will let you know what I find there.

The heater box is cracked but otherwise it looks like everything is still there.

Rob, is that an aluminum intake manifold?
If so, I would like to get it.
Just the manifold.

Thanks Rob,
If its a 2 door then no need to worry about any door parts for me.

Maybe the radio and bezel?

Thank you,

Greg

Hey Nick,

Remind me how the window cranks come off. Most things are rusted in place.

I’ll check tomorrow. I spent way too much time getting the grill out today.

Rob,
It is retained by a spring clip and you will need that special tool ( flat blade with "C" channel ) to insert, engage the clip to pop it off.... If it's too much trouble I will surely find 'em someday...I'm in no rush.

Very helpful. Thanks guys.

Angie politely reminded me that I should have gotten a more recent tetanus shot before fiddling with this car…

Parts sourcing is on hold for now. Big thunderstorm, lots of rain and lightning. :|

No rush with the storms but how badly rusted is that valve cover? Do you think it would clean up and paint well? I'd be interested if so. I'd take the thermostat housing if it's in decent shape as well.

Thanks
Gene
