Hi Rob, Not sure if you still have th car or not.. But I found Another small Item that I am in need of.

The Rubber Door Bumpers (2) Per door. It's possible thy might not be there or Will break into cracked rubber when you try to remove them, but as far as I know no one makes the correct ones new for 60-62's and my wagon is missing all 8 of them.

Sorry to be a pest with my list but I keep seeing small things that I need.

Greg

Rob,
I could use 2 of those flat metal spacers that are under the window crank handles for my '60.
Thanks, Nick

Hey Nick,

I'm sorry, but none of the window cranks had any spacers behind them. The car had bee reupholstered at some point. It had a black interior with a later high back bench seat in it. They must have left the spacers out when they reassembled things.

Rob, is that an aluminum intake manifold?
If so, I would like to get it.
Just the manifold.

Heavy Metal... sorry...

It didn't have any triangle washers holding the intake/exhaust on. Each one was a flat washer with one of the round thick washers that are used for the top two outermost studs that use the captured nuts... No captured nuts there either... :|

Thanks Rob,
If its a 2 door then no need to worry about any door parts for me.

Maybe the radio and bezel?

Thank you,

Greg

The radio face and bezel were so sun damaged they crumbled at the lightest touch. sorry.

No rush with the storms but how badly rusted is that valve cover? Do you think it would clean up and paint well? I'd be interested if so. I'd take the thermostat housing if it's in decent shape as well.

Thanks
Gene

The top of that particular valve cover is fairly pitted, but otherwise okay. I have several other of the ribbed factory covers. I can send you one along with a thermostat housing, but it might be awhile before I get back to Kentucky.

When I pulled the valve cover I discovered the most neglected and gunked up engine I have ever seen! And I've seen quite a few. You couldn't even see the lower head bolts because the oil gunk had built up so much that the rocker shaft pedestals had a nice sloping contour from top to bottom, completely covering the head bolts. It took me awhile to clean my tools after messing with that thing.

All the rubber or plastic parts on the car were so aged and brittle they disintegrated when I touched them.

I pulled any usable parts like glass, trim, grill, bumpers, etc... The rest of the car was too far gone to be of much use. Not even good enough to build a V200 trailer like yours...

Sorry to see it go, but it gave up some good parts for other projects.
