when I signal to make a right hand turn the "turn light" on the dash doesn't illuminate like does for a left turn. is this a turn signal switch problem, bad wiring or is this how it's supposed to be?

Do you have front and rear turn signal bulbs that work? I remember my dash indicator quitting when a brake/turn signal bulb died.

when i had a bad bulb the dash light would come on but not flash. I would check the indicator bulb in the dash.
