Swapping 225 from 69 Dart into 64 valiant that had 170. Both are AT's . 64 is bushbutton and is trans I'll b using w 69 engine....Is there anything that I need to know? I keep reading something about an adapter ring or washer. Thank you

You need to put a ¼" adaptor ring in the counterbore of the '69's crankshaft rear flange so that it will mate correctly with the '64's torque converter. Get the ring from Pat Blais, tflitepatty@verizon.net . Also, you'll need to use the '64 oil pan and pickup.

Ummm...probably, but why? Pat B is a reliable and reasonably-priced source. If you're asking whether you can buy it locally at a parts store, then the answer is "no".

He does have an Ebay store but I don't believe the ring in question is listed there. As Dan said, the best way to get to him is email. I understand that he is on the road a lot so your chances of catching him live are slim.
