RadioShack isn't what it used to be...

Anyway, if you can find a little barrier strip, that would provide an easy and reliable junction point. It's just a block of plastic with eyelets and screws and doesnt' cost much. The current you need for the gauges is small, but I would stick with #14-16 wire just so it's less likely to get broken. Grounding at the column ought to be fine IF the little jumper from the column to the dash is in place!

In my 75 Dart I ran a 14g wire from a barrier strip I have mounted near the battery to one of the 1/4 studs that holds the steering colum up. Then I put a small jumper wire to other stud. Any wires that need grounding in this area go to one stud or the other.

thanks jeff

you can run all your lighting wires together no problem. just like your grounds. I recommend that you install the lights to your dash dimmer on the headlight switch. then your aftermarket and stock gauges all dim together. an inline fuse is also a good idea.

Thanks for the replies. I will not have any stock gauges left when I am done. What amp fuse would you recommend?
