Ok guys,I'm done with harvest and our racing season is over-It's time to make the donuts! But instead of donuts it will be slant 6 windage trays. So if you have wanted one, please give me a call so I'll some idea of how many to make up.Last year I made up 3 extras and they were gone by Feb.The cost of the tray and the attaching package is $132.50 and that includes the shipping. The tray will only fit center sump oil pans.If you are interested or have questions please call me at 308 324-3576.Mike

Mike makes a nice windage tray for the SL6, better then the Mopar one which is now discontinued.

Here is a PIC showing Mike's tray next to the Mopar piece. (the darker one) Mike's tray is a little bigger and covers more of the crank, he can also provide a scraper if you need that.
So forget about eBay and give Mike a call if you need a windage tray in 2003.
(get one ordered now, after March you will have to wait, racing season starts!)

Mike,

Looks like a nice tray for a fair price. Will it fit the pre-67 A-body pans that are shallower in front and rear than the later pans? The MP tray, at least, will not bolt up to a '64-66 Dart/Valiant since the tray prevents you from bolting the pan on (holds it about 1/4-1/2" away from the block rail).

Thanks much,

Lou

Lou, when I put Slantzilla in the '66 I had to leave the tray out. It would not clear the pan at the front. Dennis

Yep, that's what I suspected. I guess you could cut the front and rear sections off the tray to clear the pan. I have big baffles in my '64 pan, so I think the tray is probably not necessary.

Cheers,

Lou

I cut a big piece off the front left part of the tray to get it to fit the early pan. It is work but you can get one to install with some "snipping".
I will have to dig-out a PIC I hav on this.

I have the Mopar Performance windage tray in both my 170 engines, with the 65 oil pan. No mods to either, except for dropping the sump 2 inches.
