Hello all,

I searched and only found a few folks here using NGK Powerdex. I am about to put mine in and wondered if others here had experiences good or bad. I want to use it to tune with, then remove the sensor and controller. unitl retuning. In other words my intent is not to have a constant ouput like a vacuum gage in the cab.

I got Powerdex instead of LC-1 because of what seems a better display, since LC1 and Powerdex cost about the same. (Pierre, you got me started down the wideband road about a year ago with the thorough pro and cons you sent me, so THANKS) I will put a bung in each exhaust arm off my Dutras and swap the sensor into each to see if any marked differences occur between front and rear bank.

I think you will enjoy the info you will get from a wide band gauge. However, your intent to take it out after tuning is understandable. Even though I am not finished tuning mine, ( I have an LC-1), I am already getting tired of the constant feedback. It can drive you crazy sometimes. It gets kind of addictive, and mesemerizing. I told my wife just last night sometimes I wanted to put a cardboard circle over the gauge front. Good luck with it.

Sam
