See when the timing starts to advance, you want the timing to start advancing after the rpm that you get in neutral.

The transmission seems to operate as it should other than this, so I am disinclined to believe that the transmission is at fault.... hopefully.

I know the cam is slightly retarded, due to an original crank sprocket.

Any further advice in this situation is greatly appreciated.

I'll pull your specs on the dizzy, but you shouldn't be 'ramping' up that low in the rpm field because of your spring selection...

We should also determine TDC and make sure your damper isn't fooling you, either....

The problem seems to be worse with a warm engine/trans compared to a cold engine/trans. When its cold, the PRM drop is only about 300, when its warm, it goes up to about a 450 RPM drop.

Any ideas yet? I've currently got the carb set to 1k in P/N and about 550-600 in gear.

Hopefully I'll be taking some stuff apart on the engine soon, and if there is something I should check, that would be the time to do it, seeing as how the engine will most likely be out of the car.

What would I look for to find out? A new convertor and see if it does the same thing?

Just a random question, what are the chances that both my original convertor and this one would have a broken sprag?

They both seem to work fine other than this.
