yes it was quite the miracle, and I like I said, Jared made it happen when I just couldn't take it anymore. The car actually started right up..once it had gas in the tank. Jared got a little wild with the starter fluid and BBQ'd what's left of his hair, but otherwise it was as if I had been starting it every weekend since it became incapacitated.

And I promised Doug I would tell everyone about this new adjustable pushrod he's "marketing..."

Thanks again Doug.

Oh problem #2: Leaky water pump that was growing biological things and apparently no longer able to spin:

But hey, it ran, if a little slowly and squeekily. The alignment is way off I and I fear the problem solver bushings were installed backwards...if I can do it wrong, I will, that my new sig.

I don't think I will be "marketing" adjustable brake peddle pushrods any time soon but it just goes to show what you can do with a hack saw and a welder.

It was the difference from making it 1 piece or running into the first object that I couldnt avoid because I had no brakes. Thanks again Doug!

I had a great time at the show this past weekend. It has been a long time since I have been to it. The last time was probably almost 7-8 years ago in Alviso. I bought a couple of things from John which I needed and were priced very affordably. BTW: John, I hope you feel better. Doug, I also meant to say hello but every time I looked over, it appeared you were in the midst of some great story and I didn't want to interrupt. Perhaps, next time. Thanks for a great show all.

HI all from the Bay Area slant6 meet...If you haven't already been invited to the once-in-a-lifetime chance to be part of breaking the long lived, all time slant6 car count record, YOU ARE NOW INVITED TO BEE AT REDDING ON OCT 25-26. If you are there, your name will be permanently inscribed in infamy as being one of those that took the time and effort to join us at Redding on OCT 25-26. A easy drive on I-5 and the track is just a few minutes off I-5.

Get in touch with Doug and try to do a impressive caravan...You all made it to the show... so how about sending a couple of your cars as Bay Area Representatives to Redding on Oct 25-26? Any takers???
For those of you who are there, your name will be included on the trophy/banner... If you are not, no show, no name inclusion...
BEE AT REDDING ON OCT 25-26.
(just one day is fine...try to make it on Saturday...)
