:D Hi to everyone as i am new to this forum, what a good sight.
Can anyone help? do you know if there is a european 4 or 5 speed manual box that will bolt up to the good old Slant six. Mines in a dodge 50 serise 56 ( english Dodge ) camper, with a torqueflite 727 auto box . As gas prices are getting stupid over here and I m going to be towing my drag car a manual box seams on the cards ? . Cheers everyone

Never heard of a 4-5 speed that can bolt up. Some people have tried the T-5 conversion and a supra transmission. However, for you I would consider the A-833od since it is aluminum case it wouldn't be bad to ship if you needed too.

Welcome on the board. The closest you're likely to come to a direct bolt-up to suit your needs is a Toyota Celica box, for which a bellhousing is available ex-Australia. See this thread.

:D Thanks guys , I have put the word around my hot roding and drag racing mates. I knew about the A833 box already, but they are not that plentyfull over here. What sort of money do they fetch over there, I have put a search on ebay but no luck as of yet. Cheers

:D Yep you are quite correct, it's the good old renault/dodge 50. The oil burners did come with manual boxs, I m also, not sure if the slant six was fitted with a manual box as well, I would post a pic of the old girl but my computer doesn't seem to let me . Cheers[/img]

I have been looking for one of those, double cab, diesel, and a wrecker body...oh, and cheap...

Anyway, there is a forum about them:

http://www.dodge50.co.uk/dodgeparts.htm

I can't see anything without registering, but I know they had a lot of specs and stuff there before they "closed" the forum
