Can someone give me a NAPA number for a super six air filter element?? Someone tried to tell me the air filters are the same size between one and two barrels air filters but they sure do look to be different.

Thank you very much. Dan, I have to ask, do you have all this information in your head or do you have the worlds largest reference library?? On a good day I can remember what day it it and maybe, if I'm lucky, the date.
The next question is what is the right gas pedal assembly do I need to finish up the super six collection for my 62? The way I understand it I do need the whole assembly, not just the pedal?

Same internet everyone else has access to…! When I'm at home I have a great deal of paper information (catalogues, books, engineering literature, etc.), too. In a previous life I was a librarian by day and a counterman by, uh, day.
Sounds like you're wanting to change to the cable-type throttle setup? Keep in mind since the aluminum intake you bought is toast, you may want to consider doing the Parallel-2bbl intake manifold mod and keeping the existing accelerator and kickdown linkage.

I'm getting a second manifold (cast iron this time). So yes, I've got the throttle cable and pretty much everything else I think. It's getting down to the quest for a pedal and make it as much of a bolt in as I can.
And yes, I bought pretty much a complete set up with an Aluminum intake. The inside two runners are totally junk. It does look lovely hanging on the wall though. I guess "No Cracks " is a relative term.
All I'm going to say about that is 99.9% of the guys I've dealt with have been fantastic.

The common way to do that swap is with a hanging gas pedal from a mid-70s A=body. The problem with that on a 62 is that the angle of the firewall is wrong for that pedal. You will need to either modify the way it mounts on the firewall, maybe using some kind of wedge or you'll have to modify the pedal arm. Summit Racing has an adjustable pedal, similar to the one by Lokar but a few bucks cheaper that might work well. Another intriguing possibility is the floor mounted pedal and hanging arm from a mid-60s B-body. You might still have some geometry issues with it but when done it would appear to be stock to the casual eye.

Growing older is unavoidable but growing up is strictly optional.

The '62-'65 B-body pedal setup (floor-mount pedal, firewall-mount cable pull) works well and looks stock in these cars. That's what I have in my '62 Lancer. The other "near stock, looks stock" option is a floor-mounted pedal w/firewall-mounted cable pull from a '64-'66 A-body with V8 or a '65-'66 A-body with slant-6 and factory A/C.

I'm reading as fast as I can but you guys are going to have to type slower for me to absorb all this.
It doesn't sound like a collection of parts that someone would hang onto and since there are no old parts left in Maine, it's going to be a quest.

Down here some of us keep magnificent parts stashes...it is easy to do if you never use em and just keep throwing them in boxes where you forget all about them, and get more of what you already have! Now as the honeysuckle starts to bloom and wind around the axle housings, I have been cleaning out some more parts and have the hanging pedal and cable you need. I have to think it is from a '73 to '76 , but could be wrong on that. I was gonna try it on my truck ('64) but made up a linkage for a 4bbl and reshaped the original floor mounted pedal rod that goes through the firewall.
PM me if you want it and or the cable, I enjoy reading about the Maine truck!
(Oh, I keep good junk, clean, almost new, usually).
