Ok I know I asked this question over a year ago but my project has been sitting since. I'm ready to finish it out and get it on the road. Long story short, I was taking it on a test drive and it turned out (if I remember correctly) that the shop that rebuilt the transmission used the wrong ball joint/bracket that bolted to the bell housing and connected to the clutch arm. It fell apart on the road and the bushings fell out as well. I found the right bracket but didn't get any of the used bushings. So with all that said, where can I find these bushings new? I know one of the guys here pointed out a couple of websites that had them. I need to order them in asap because the truck will be going off to a restoration shop soon. I'm getting the under carriage coated and the body painted. Hopefully, if the price is right going to try and get the interior completely redone with a/c but its unlikely with the current budget. But any help would ge great!

Yeah thats about all I can find but no one can tell me if they will work...I don't want to shell out money for parts that won't fit (not cheap). I'm thinking of going to the junk yard and trying to find them used, but if I can get them new I would. Is there anyone here who knows for sure!?!?

JP,I'm guessing you're talking about the plastic two piece bushings plus seal that go in each end of Z-bar correct? I ordered the ones for my 83 van from dealer a few years back and I don't remember them being to spendy. My gut feeling is they're the same for a whole raft of different MoPar clutch setups. Now that being said I have a decent set of used ones out of afore mentioned van,if you want to give them a try shoot me a PM with your addy and I'll be happy to mail them off to you,no charge.I'm also thinking that someplace like Passion or Brewers might also have them new,might be worth a look see.Let me know,I only replaced mine because I could :wink: so these used ones are good.

6shotvanner is correct...mopar changed the z-bar dimensions, but the nylon bushings that cradle the ballstuds are the same for cars and trucks...if you get a Z-bar rebuild it'll have all that and a set of spring clips if yours are rusty... I highly recommend putting a finger wad of grease into each end of the z-bar before putting the bushings and ballstuds in place...that'll help lubricate them.

Well this is good to know. I need to rebuild my z-bar because like I stated it fell apart and i'm missing a few things but for sure one bushing. The rebuild kits were running around $60 at dante's mopar parts. But I don't really need the ball studs but oh well. 6shotvanner, i'll hang on to your name if I decide to take up your offer. But just so you know I did call my dealer but he had a hard time trying to look it up so he just told me to come by to look at the diagram. Other problem is his computer doesn't go back that far to my year. Thanks anyway. I'm going take a good hard look at the assembly and if dusteridiot is right as far as the bushings all being the same, then it would only be the ball studs I need to keep an eye on. But once again mine are fine just need the the clips, seals, bushings, etc. THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR THE REPLY YALL!

PS: I also found another site called jimsautoparts, they seem to be set up more for the cars as well but they have a more detailed parts list and diagram. If you need a new z-bar they have z-bar replacements and complete overhaul kits for the whole clutch linkage system. The basic kits prices are on the high side but once again they have allot of detailed parts that might be needed. Just to let yall know

On Brewer's site it's called the "Torque shaft"

The CSK kit without ballstuds is a whole whopping $36.95+ shipping...
Clips, bushings, retainer...

AWSOME! Think i'll go with Brewer's. I was checking them out last time but didn't see what I was looking for, but I found them. Still trying to decide what we are going to do with the truck. At the moment, it looks like we are going have the whole exterior done and just clean up the interior until more $$$$ makes its way to the project.

Four half bushings come in the torque shaft ball stud kit from Mopar Performance that also includes the spring clip. Only problem is sixty plus dollars is a lot when all you need are the bushings, unless you just happen to have a Mopar parts man with an old parts book available to him. Then you can buy just the bushings, like I did last week, two full sets (eight half bushings).

I won't be home until tomorrow night, so I can't pass on the part numbers or check the price on my invoice, but if you were to call Marty at Timberline in Portland, Or (probably was the biggest all around Mopar dealer in Oregon before Obama took their franchise, sometime after that a cooler head prevailed and allowed them to keep their parts distribution), he can fix you right up.

Here's the part number on the package of one 1/2 ball torque shaft bushing (you need four to bush one shaft).
1-02265938

I think they were about 2.00 each.
