I'm gonna toss a set of 3.91's in the old red car today. I'll be pulling out a 3.55 setup. Not sure how much I'll gain, but there's a couple Chevys I wanna outrun heads-up tomorrow and I'll need every little bit I can get.

Just from recent experience, would be your first 1/8 th mile times will be great, but I'm not sure how much your 1/4 mile times will improve...

I'm leaving for the track in about 1/2 an hour. It looks like we might actually race today. Last 3 races rained out.

Well, today was kinda bittersweet. I got to the track and saw that my buddy now has a 502 crate motor in the Monte, so no chance with him heads-up.

Weather was pretty bad for trying to go fast with a little motor today. Humidity was pretty high, and we had a 25+mph dead-on headwind. First time run the car went a 14:70. I pulled the plugs and thought it looked lean so I jetted up. That was good for slowing the car down a tenth and a half. Since we only get 2 time runs I decided to make the best of it.

Rd1 I drew my buddy with the Monte. He was sandbagging the thing to keep it in Sportsman for the points. I wailed him on the tree and held him off at the big end for the win. I got dinged on the tree a little in the 2nd round, but drove by the guy in high gear for the win. I ended it in Rd3 when I got greedy at the tree and went red by .001.

I never got to run the Camaro, but I was dialed in faster than him all day.
