I seriously doubt you will get your hood to close with the air cleaner lid flipped. It might close with the lid in the normal position.

What's wrong with a stock mopar air cleaner? Find one off of a smallblock. It will clear your hood and, if you get the right one, you can have functioning cold and heated air intake systems.

I used the base from a 10'' aftermarket air cleaner with the top from a 1 bbl. air cleaner on my Holley 390.

If your hood will close, you could use the one you've got.
However, I'm with Reed on this one. Chcek Ebay, junkyards, swap meets and use a Mopar air cleaner. Or, you could use some type of combo like slanted87 did. If you want that sleeper effect.

Turning the lid upside down gives more noise, if you like that, but leaving it rightside up gives the engine what it really wants: temperature-controlled air (hot when the engine's cold, cold when the engine's hot).

I just came across this interesting air cleaner from our friends at GPRS Mopars down under…

yea i found out after further fitment tests that its going to have to be modified to fit around the vaccume secondaries. so it ain't going to work cause i don't feel like cutting and rewelding it

what kind of air cleaner did the hyper packs use from the factory?

what should my minimum size for an air cleaner (or element), cause i know the bigger the better but i don't want it to small

i can drill some holes in the bottem if i get a single snorkel and that will work for some more air right?
