That looks nifty, but how much heat will the starter get?

yes we agree it is tight a header wrap would help but we have a mini starter it should be alot better. Just showing it would work.

Where are the collectors? It looks like 3 pipes from 3 ports dump into one overly large pipe with no thought or concern as to properly collecting or merging the primary pipes. It's better than sucking on exhaust fumes, but it also looks like a waste of time and effort. You'd do just as well to hack the center out of a stock manifold and weld on two pipes.

I did header wrap and a starter blanket with mine. The amount of heat that gets liberated from this size headpipe is an issue otherwise.

This is for a twin screw build, or are you going to install a single turbo back further?

What diameter is the large pipe?
Is the large pipe a shield with smaller pipes in it to form a collector?
If so, what are the length of the primary pipes?

Looks to me like exhaust scavenging is dead but the metal work is something to be proud of.

Is this for a twin turbo build?

Yep...it does look like that starter might get a touch warm. I also suggest some insulation to protect it.

Sidebar:....are you going to run that intake? If so, I suggest you give it a good coat of epoxy paint, if you haven't already.

Shoot HardCharger its hard just to finish the list for my single turbo build. We have pondered the idea of twins mounted in the rear though. Thanks Don

Roger I think your being real nice with that one. The intake is just easy for me to get on and off. It will be used on the motor pic posted a little back in thread with the offy intake.

Do yall think they will be better than the other ones I use? We can install all nuts by hand with these and adjust over-all length of collector real easy. These just happen to be the same bends and length for both front and rear. IE The same flow Image Don

The 3" pipes are too big. Gas velocity will drop off very quickly, and those big tubes are going to dump heat like crazy.
Not sure where your mounting the turbo from here. It looks like it's going to be too far back to drive the hot side effectively due to the above.

Go down to twin 2" pipes, and bring them together and into your turbo above the motor mount..Shorter is better.

Unless I'm missing something in your build, you've too much head pipe volume there.

CJ

I don't have any technical advice to ad here, but HOLY ____! Those are some massive pipes.
Looks like some top quality metal work, nice!
I would like to hear it run.
