seems to me that an @ home dyno would be the way to build a slant..an engine only unit...with carb/intake/jets/supercharging/turbo/header change mods b4 the unit is installed into the car..you could make changes easer/faster...is there any way to make a home made dyno without big $$$..it would not have to be dead nuts but accurate to show and mods effecting the final HP rating @ RPM..thoughts..?

Oddly... a local shop went belly up... there's an engine dyno in the "specialty metals" barn at one of our local scrap yards...

Haven't asked how much they want for it, looked in OK shape, has
an "off brand" block hanging on the mounts....

Too bad I don't have enough garage space...

LOL...
