Not a bad thought, but he is really not making enough power to need bigger fuel line. Also, problems show up at low load as well.

This is not how much power is produced, but of how many GPH at high pressure the fuel pump moves to the distribution rail, and back to the tank. Unlike a carbureted fuel system, FI uses a loop where excess fuel is returned to the tank.

If the plumbing isn’t sufficient in cross section, the engine will be starved for fuel due to a pressure drop, insufficient volume, or both. Combine that aspect with a venting problem, and it could be the key to solving this puzzle.

Supply line is 3/8". Return is 5/16". Both are new. Old line is vent line now.

Thanks for the interest, and insight. Do you know how fast the pump should fill a quart container if healthy?

Hummm… Peeing in a cup. Good question, I don't know Sam. Perhaps:

Take the rating of the pump, GPH or pounds per hour, and convert to quarts per second, and with cup & stop watch in hand, and the curtain pulled…

Probably filling a gallon container would yield a more precise result.

If the pump is, by some quirk, messed up, then it is only doing it at hot temps after 15-20 min of running.

Ok I think this is my issue. Same symptoms, runs great for 20 to 30 mins then stammers and stalls. Replaced fuel pump and new rubber lines. New gas tank with 4 vents. Assuming I reconnected all the vents back up properly. After new fuel pump she made it about 10 miles before another stall out. Took the cap off and got it started and made it the other 10 miles back home with no issue. I now assume something is up with the vent system. Tried to insure it is returned to stock configuration with carb vent to fuel pump. It seems to me something is plugged up somewhere or I have one of the vent lines on the wrong hose. Can I just plug them all off use a vented cap and forget this nonsense? I would like to have it completely stock, but I would also like to be able to drive more that a few miles before I am stuck on the side of the road.
