I have a five pin ECU on my '77 D100 and a dual resistor. Can I use two single resistors? Can a four pin ECU use half of a dual resistor?

I want to know because I am going to stick to the original ignition setup, want to keep some spare gear in the cab and thought about getting a single resistor just for the pleasure of producing one to a fellow \6 driver in a pinch.

Then I thought well I wonder if a four pin ECU could use two prongs of a dual resistor in a pinch. Then further wondered if my truck could use two single resistors in a pinch.

This is just stuff I'd like to know before I have to know.

Richie,

Just one of each, they aren’t too expensive, than you can fix your machine if it quits, and still play Zorro with the two bladed resistor when the situation presents…

Thank you for the info!

Can I run a 5 pin ECU with two single resistors? In a pinch?
