Is there a difference or are they the same for all abodys? What can I use for my 68 Dart? Some of the parts sites I went to say that they year specific or list my year with a very high price. Thanks for any answers or advice.

Thanks for the reminder. I forgot about them. I find it funny that Rockauto has the Dart listing for 60-62 and 71-76 while the Valiant listing is for 60-76. Thanks again.

When working correctly, does the spring shackle pivot back and forth along frame rail axis as the spring deflects, or should it be fixed in place? Not clear on the concept. :? Sometimes they look collapsed.

The shackle will pivot as the spring flexes. When that leaf spring is straighten out either by increased load in car, or driving over a bump the spring becomes longer eye to eye, also when suspension becomes unloaded eye to eye length becomes shorter, so the shackle has to be able to move.
