OK, thanks Cecil.

So, if you have a 1.000 reaction time or more, you need to be launching on the 2nd amber light!

Stock Carter BBS carb shown there was on various A-body applicaitons through the 60s (mostly earlier?).

Are you sure? It should shift higher than that if the transmission throttle pressure linkage is adjusted properly. Is the tach set to 8 cylinders perhaps?

only had 1 run @ 12 noon , we live 2 miles from washington dc, and theres 2much traffic. I went out @ midnight and pulled over on a streach near our house that has no houses as it's a 495 beltway overpass, and the car behind me @ the light was a cop..so I skipped that/plus I have not hooked up the illumination light and had to have the interior light on..so no try.
it idles @ 700-800 in drive

these are my time slips in order I ran. the first two are time runs
once I started leaving on the last yellow, they improved. the 1st run .I ran out, but Phil had redlighted. He had never raced that car in that lane and I think thats why he red lighted..and the last was charlie knocking me out of elimitions....charlies car was a rocket in mid track.

Hi USAJon, I think you need to scale your pics to 400x300, this thread takes for ever to open. Nice to see pics from the track with the Dart.

Olaf.

put some wide low profile N tires on rear. hope to race may 28, 2011 @ 75-80, now that the tach works correctly, I will shift @ 4500 instead on just running in D, these small tires should lower my gearing to 3.50-388

Looks to be a big can Tranz-Act brake. Did you get the instructions with it? Also, note that the pin in the solenoid is bent. It is supposed to be that way.
