After the last string about pistons, I did a bit of E-research, and came up with two companies that actually have a listing for forged slant pistons.

Ross, (as we all know), and Venolia. Ross has one listing for a 170", from 60-69, for $390. Follow this route; Ross, stocking pistons, NHRA stock replacement.

Venolia has two listings, a flat top & a dome for 170"-225" & 264(?)", but no price listed. Follow; Venolia, products, pistons (Chry.-Mopar).

Anybody know of any other suppliers, and whether they have a stock listing or if it's custom only?

Roger

I have .030 over Federal Moguls in my slant, but I don;t know if they make them any more. I got them some time back, and installed them two years ago.

The F-M and TRW forged pistons have been discontinued, and are hard to find. I just found 7 TRW pistons and a set of moly rings, on another board, which I bought. The Ross piston for $390 is a "stock replacement" piston, and will also fit the 198 and 225 engines. I don't think it will make any more power then a stock piston, but it is forged and stronger. If it were me, I would add some additional money to the $390, and get a "racing" piston, that will make more power. Just a personal observation.

Well, I was thinking along the lines of a good forged piston for those of us that want to build an engine for turbo or blower use. The price isn't great, but not bad considering.
