Did a scarebird brake conversion on my 65 valiant. All parts are new, including the rear drum system and the m/c is a new napa unit , disc manual.Bled the m/c in the car with an assistant.Problem is that i get fluid to the rear cylinders, but without enough pressure.(no resistance at the pedal and the fluid just dips out the wheel cyl)If i let the cover off the m/c while pressing the pedal,a stream of fluid shoots up.There is enough pressure at the front calipers.I think the m/c is faulty;any ideas?I have replaced m/c and line on other cars before;never have had this problem. Thanks.Jorge

For what it's worth, I just had a problem with a Pronto/Cardone rebuilt M/C (for a Ford); I took the M/C apart and found that one of the seals was just laying loose in the bore when I pulled the piston out - it hadn't been put together very carefully. I've not had much luck lately with rebuilt parts.

You maybe could test it by capping off both ports and feeling for resistance.
